Klassenfahrt der Klasse 10 c nach London

On our class trip we went to London. We stayed at the London Thamseside Youth Hostel. When we arrived at the hostel, we put our bags there in the luggage room and went by the underground to Westminster. There we looked at the famous Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palast, Big Ben, London Eye and Queen Victorias memorial. It was very interesting to see all that. But it was very hot and exhausting. In the afternoon we went to the Kew Gardens. It was a nice place where we got a questionnaire and where we could relax. Back in the hostel we got a tasty dinner. In the evening we went to the beautiful Tower Bridge. There we took nice photos.

The next day we visited the Tate Modern. The pictures were exceptional and interesting. After a break we looked at the famous St. Paul's Cathedral and some of us went inside. The Cathedral was very big and beautiful. After that we went to Covent Garden and there we shopped and we watched the street musicians and artists. When we were back in the hostel we were all tired.

On Monday we visited the Tower. There we went in groups through the Tower. We found the Crown Jewels particularly beautiful. When we had seen everything we had free-time and most of us went shopping. In the afternoon we went to the Bank District and we looked at interesting buildings by famous architects. After wards we went to Harrods. Some of us weren't allowed to enter because they didn't look like potential customer. There were amazing shoes and clothes, but a little bit too expensive.

On Tuesday we had got up early because we went to Madame Tussauds. There we looked at all the waxworks and took nice photos. Enrice for example had taken her picture in the fashion of Andy Warhol. Then we visited the Natural History Museum. There we got a questionnaire about the Museum.

On the last day we had free-time till 4 pm. Some people went to the London Dungeon or shopping in Oxford Street. We could plan the day by ourselves and that was great. After that we went to the airport by bus and waited for our departure. Some of us who looked suspicious had to take off their shoes when we checked in.

We found the trip to London great. The best was the visit to Madame Tussauds.
